To Know Her Is To Love Her

It’s one of those moments you really don’t forget – overhearing a student ask someone…”What grade is she in?”

That’s how we met, Taylor and I.  A short while later she seemed in awe that I was waaaaay older…and when I say way…I mean, I’m a teacher, well was.  Not sure if this speaks more to my own immaturity or her superior maturity.

Taylor is an exceptionally strong and independent young lady.  I know these terms are very loosely thrown around, however, when it comes to Taylor…there truly is no match.  She, in her 17 years of life, has lived things that would crush most of us; the cool part is she uses these moments to inspire others to seek within themselves and do essentially what she has done – make the most of every moment we are given.

Kiddo – kudos to you for all you have accomplished.  It is with extreme elation I await your future endeavors.

Still round the corner there may wait, A new road or a secret gate. – J.R.R. Tolkien
